Ci siamo sentiti parte della famiglia. Rosy ci ha insegnato a preparare da zero la pasta, il sugo, le polpette e i biscotti! Poi ci siamo seduti e abbiamo festeggiato. We walked in and we were greeted by the whole family. We felt like we were part of the family. Rosy taught us how to make pasta , sauce, meatballs and Biscotti cookies from scratch!!!! Then we sat down and had a feast. ( plus some vino😁) It was fantastic!!!! Thank you Rosy for a wonder day.Verified Cooking with Rosy is a not to miss experience! Rosy is extraordinary! The care and time she spent preparing for our arrival was significant. Everything was impeccable. She opened her home to us like we were family giving us a wonderful cooking experience with excellent tips, patience, and a lot of fun! The day was a highlight of our trip. We will never forget Rosy, her mother, Annabelle, and her whole family’s hospitality, passion for good food, and love for others and what they do. Along with wine and homemade liqueurs, the most special part of the meal was sharing it with Rosy’s family…all together, around the table in true authentic Abruzzese fashion. From start to finish the passion Rosy has for her family and the traditional style of cooking inspires you to engage the experience with the same passion Rosy exudes. Rosy warned us not to eat breakfast and these are very wise words as the traditional Italian breakfast sent the tastebuds wild while filling our belly’s before we began cooking lunch. The use of organic foods was a real positive and allowed us to get back to nature as we began preparing the pasta using methods we can’t wait to try when we get back to Australia. While the Chitarra was rising we began with the meatballs and Rosy and Nona continued to guide us along the way with positive feedback and tips for the future. Then it was onto desert a fun filled experience helped along with a glass or two of locally sourced wine. That was not all the absolute highlight was the privilege of celebrating the experience with Rosy’s family who went out of there way to ensure our glasses and bellies where full while we shared stories about our families and the different traditions we celebrate. The home made aperitif finished the experience with a bang. Cooking with Rosy is more than just a cooking lesson it is a truly memorable experience that in this case money can buy. An authentic Italian food experience with passionate cooks. We spent a great day with Rosie and Annabella learning about and tasting traditional Abruzzo food. It was special to be invited into their home and share their love of cooking. We started the day tasting different local appetizers, and then we learned how to make ravioli, meatballs, and biscotti. Best of all, we then shared the meal with Rosie, Annabella, and the rest of their family! Me and my mom had the most amazing cooking class with Rosy and her mother Annabella! The experience was fun, interesting and so yummy! We were greeted in Rosy's home with delicious antipasti and bubbly wine, everything fresh and local. We learned how relaxing it can be to make pasta alla chitarra, the importance of fresh ingredients, and how some can be found only locally. We finished with a warm and hugging lunch, we felt as part of their sweet family, and we got also extra help after having car problems the day before. Highly recommend, it was a unique experience, and now I know that we have to come back to try all the other recipes! Thank you for everything!Verified Amazing Local Experience What an amazing class!!! We spent 15 days travelling through Italy and this was our favorite experience. Rosy and Annabella hosted us in their home for several hours with lots of delicious antipasti before and during the cooking experience. We made 4 dishes: cheese balls, pasta with chickpeas, chitarra pasta, and biscotti, all of which were incredible. Almost all of the food was local, mostly sourced from within a mile of Rosy's home. We spent our time enjoying food, learning about the food culture of Abruzzo, and getting to know Rosy and Annabella. They had a fun interpersonal dynamic that they welcomed us into. We even got to meet the whole family while we ate the meal we prepared! By the end of the class we were part of the family. Our meal finished with a tasting of their homemade liqueurs. This was one of the few moments during our trip in Italy where we didn't feel like tourists, and we loved getting a truly local feel of Abruzzo. Rosy even sent us home with recipes of what we made, which we just successfully replicated at home a month after our class! Highly recommend.
